“A stranger is just a friend I haven't met yet” Hey! I'm Stefano, 28yo from Northern Italy. My journey started at 21 with a year and half working holiday visa in Australia and New Zealand. I later studied Computer Science in France and for the last two years I've been traveling full-time while working remotely, mostly in Asia and South America. I usually head back home to Italy for the summer when the weather is nicer to catch up with friends and family, but the rest of the year I'm on the move. If you asked my friends they would probably describe me as easygoing, curious and spontaneous. I have a good number of passions that I developed while hopping around the globe, whether that is rock climbing, hiking, diving or trying to stand on a surfboard as a beginner surfer. At the same time, I'm really into technology, AI, economics/finance and business. I'm always down for a deep conversation about life, the future, or whatever random topic you are passionate about... or just turning our brains off and heading to a festival or house/techno set. Because I have lived in coliving spaces all over the world and shared apartments with friends, I am incredibly used to sharing a roof. I know how to read the room, clean up after myself, and respect your space and routine.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
After years of traveling, I've found that the most memorable parts of a trip are not the tourist hotspots but the people you share the journey with. I am here because I want authentic local experiences and genuine connections. I love linking up with interesting and open-minded people, sharing a meal, grabbing a drink and having good conversations about life and our different perspectives. I love to meet up with interesting locals and experience the surroundings through their eyes.

As an Italian, I would love to cook you a proper authentic carbonara (❌ no cream allowed) as a thank you
