I live in Virginia right now, getting a PhD in international politics, specializing in Mediterranean countries, particularly Turkey. I love to travel and to meet new people, and most of all I love experiencing everything I can during my time on this planet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a great CS experience. I think it is a wonderful social experiment that reinvigorates traveling and gives me faith in the human condition. I've met some great people, and made good friends as well. I see couchsurfing as a way of going beyond traveling, to gain the most out of every experience, but most of all a way to gain new perspective by meeting new and different types of people.

I read anything, right now I am reading a lot of books on Turkish history and a lot of yoga philosophy.

I love all types of music and have never discriminated against a movie!

Hiking on Denali mountain in Alaska, the US's highest mountain...seeing grizzly bear and moose...definitely my most amazing experience
