About Me

Hello, my name is Steph and I'm from Melbourne, Australia
Well grounded, free spirit. ♍♒
I'm backpacking for 3 months in Bali, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.
Keeping my eyes and ears open for deep, genuine interactions with humans, animals and plants.
Live your best life. Listen to your heart, listen to your soul 💖

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I couch surf between friends houses a bit when I'm home anyway, so why not overseas as well. So glad I met a fellow traveller who told me this is an accommodation option. Thank you so much to all the hosts! You're amazing! 💘

Interests

I'm in two bands in Melbourne. Firstly a 4 piece all-girl punk band where I play bass and sing.
And my second is a psychedelic rock band, I play tamborine and djembe and dance, while singing backup vocals. Both are just fun with good friends.

Very interested about the ecology of the Earth and where humans fit sustainably.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music. Craving original music. Soft spot for rock, postgrunge, riotgirl, numetal, groove metal, death metal but more than often it lacks a good message so I tend toward the ambient soundtrack of my surroundings. It says more than any human alone.

Gimme an interesting, relatable, well directed (or extremely poorly made, low budget) film and you may keep my attention. Sat down in front of the TV for 90% of my childhood, I'm kinda done.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Felt my tooth slowly die from infection over the course of 3 painful months living alone in my car while exploring the east coast of Australia. Meditated for the pain, and focussed my intention on healing but nope. Having a dentist wiggled the tooth painlessly from my skull was the happiest day of my life (up until that point. I've since addressed my boarderline paralysing depression).

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn - Freediving, ecologically conscious fishing and hunting, language, whatever life brings.

Teach - I analyse things and can usually figure out (or google) a satisfying answer. Researched horticulture, natural building, human ecology, anatomy, dental health, natural movement, music, English (love a good dictionary).

Share - My presence, nutritious food, cleaning/help/being useful, music/singing, dance/moving/content melting and if I've been unlocked that much, likely my unconditional love and understanding.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My help with anything that's happening, cooking, cleaning, gardening (please). Overall happy-go-lucky positive energy.
