About Me
"I go to seek a great perhaps"
I am a wife, a teacher, an aspiring cook, an avid baker, an amateur flutist, a sports fan, and a lover of knowledge. I have hopes of seeing the world and discovering new and interesting things along the way. I love to laugh, eat great food, and spend time with friends, both old and new.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love people! I earned my undergrad in business management with an emphasis in human resources and organizational behavior and was fascinated by what motivated and drives people to be successful and accomplish great feats. Now, as a high school teacher, I am discovering new things everyday about what drives my students and about who they are as people. In just one short year of moving and living in a new city across the country from where I grew up, I have learned so much about who I am as a person and have grown to love the people where I live. As I set out to travel the world with my husband, I not only want to experience the rich history and culture that each city has to offer, but also meet the people that make each place so incredible.
Interests
I love movies! Old movies, new movies, action, romance--I love it all. I also love to read and wish I could find more time for it. I enjoy learning about history and visiting different places and have a knack for trivia.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a big fan of indie fold and rock bands such as The Head and the Heart and Mumford and Sons, but I really enjoy most music.
As stated previously, I love movies, and I'm not sure that I could pick a favorite. I love Audrey Hepburn and her movies Wait Until Dark and Charade, but I also love so many others that I have a hard time saying those are my favorite.
My favorite book may just be The Phantom Tollbooth, which is, in my opinion, a work of genius which is filled with literary puns and so much creativity that it was fun to read as a child and still enjoyable as an adult.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After graduating from college I moved across the country to teach math in an inner-city, low-income high school. I struggled with math all through school so not only am I teaching my students how to do the math, but often am also teaching myself the night before. It is the hardest thing I have ever done, but also the most rewarding.
What I Can Share with Hosts
While I have not seen as much of the world as I want to (yet) I have experienced a lot in my short life-time. I have a quick wit and a knack for baking and would love to share my love for life and desire to learn with anyone who will let me.
