About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living in Germany!

ABOUT ME

Grew up in the west of Sydney then moved to the inner west when I graduated from university. Yes, I'm a westie through and through and would never even consider moving to the north shore (sorry, does that make me a snob?) Travelled through Asia while I worked, then, on the spur, I obtained a working holiday visa, quit my job and moved to London for 2 years where I spent more time travelling throughout Europe than staying in London and working. To be fair, I did work and I still freelance with the company now, so there was a positive outcome to it after all.

Worked in Sydney for a bit now I'm back in Europe spending another six months in Germany and trying to see the rest of the cities I never made it to!

PHILOSOPHY

Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing, meeting friends and sharing cultural experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's only just beginning ... so far I've surfed at fifty-something people's places throughout Europe and they've been amazing and varied experiences. I hope to have many, many more! =)

Interests

Music, culture, travelling, dancing, reading, writing, breathing, talking, breathing, talking, breathing, talking, talking, talking.

I like taking food photos. Now when I say that, I don't mean photos of food. I mean photos of me with food. Holding it, sitting in front of it, eating it. The works.

Music, Movies, and Books

Arthouse movies (Ghost World, American Beauty, Requiem for a Dream, Reservoir Dogs), punk rock music (Yellowcard, Sick Puppies, Alkaline Trio, A7X), folk/jazz music (Joshua Radin, Justin Nozuka, Adele, James Morrison, Jason Mraz), classic novels by females (Bronte sisters, Austin), modern novels by males (Murakami, King, Nam Le, Yan Martel)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Waiting for my moment to come

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Let's see, I'm a jill of all trades and a master of none. I can teach you some basic piano, swing dancing, rock n roll/jive dancing, yoga, big words, random quotes (in English and in Latin), a bit of Thai, bit of Mandarin, bit of Cantonese... yeah that's probably about it.
Learn: Love to learn the guitar (I've tried numerous times and failed dismally), trying to learn German ... anything really!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malaysia, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State
