About Me

On quest to find myself. This quest has led me on unexpected adventures, amazing journeys, and outrageous experiences. So far I've learned that if this is what it feels like to find yourself, I hope I never do. Maybe this is who I am... Maybe I am a backpacker, maybe I am a hiker, a mountain climber, a teacher, a student, an adventurer and whatever else I get the opportunity to be. I want to be all that and more, I want to be a volunteer, I want to be homeless, I want to be a nomad, I want to be forever young, forever on the road, forever exploring... Forever a traveler.

I used to be extremely introverted. Traveling, getting out of my comfort zone, conquering my fears and getting tattoos has helped a lot with this but I'm not quite where I want to be yet... I'm working on it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and for me, Couchsurfing provide a "Road-less-travelled" approach to traveling and I love that. The people I've met, the stories I've heard and just the opportunity to meet new people is worthy in itself. And I also love to share my stories with anyone who's interested. Couchsurfing really provides an experience that you cannot get from staying in fancy hotels and lodges.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Any "good" music from country to rap.

Books: Anything written by J.R.R. Tolkien or Douglas Adams. Especially the Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy Series.
I also like most other books... One of my favorites was also The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Here's a top 10 list:

1. Quitting my job and leaving everything behind to live my dream life of traveling.
2. Meeting amazing, like minded people from all over the world.
3. Finding, or rather, losing myself in music at Ultra Music Festival.
4. Working on a marijuana farm.
5. Getting stranded in a foreign country, penniless and without speaking a single word of the local language.
6. Realizing that there are no bad experiences in life. Every little 'bad' thing makes a good story.
7. Learning to cry properly once in a while.
8. Conquering my fears and breaking out of my comfort zone in pursuit of my dreams.
9. Always striving to do and see more amazing things.
10. Starting my own business.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn languages and about different cultures, traditions and views. Over the years I've learned countless skills. Since I love learning new things and gathering information, I also have a very wide variety of information to share with anyone who's interested. I try to have a working knowledge of almost anything at any given time, knowledge which I would be happy to share. But don't talk to me about pop-culture, I am absolutely clueless in that area :D. I am also happy to share travel tips and I can teach you to hitchhike since I am an expert :D
