Hi! My name is Stephen!

CURRENT MISSION

Learn as much as I can from the world and unique people living in it as I can in my young twenties to set up a pretty good foundation for life.

I am 22 years old and from Florida. I love to travel and meet people! It’s the relationships you find are the essence of travel. I have been described as very open minded, funny, outgoing, extroverted (though I’m actually quite introverted)

I work as a lab technician in the Navy on Whidbey Island and I like what I do but I am a photographer at heart with a passion for taking portraits of all the interesting people I meet. I used to do wedding and portraits for money back home before the Navy. A big inspiration of mine is Brandon Stanton with Humans of New York. I really love listening to everyone’s story and I believe the phase “Every neighbor is your teacher”. I run an Instagram page called @photos.w.stevo where I post these people.

When I was a kid my grandma told me to “Know your backyard before you explore the woods” and she is right, the United States is a huge and beautiful country. There are so many different cultures here such as the Island dwellers of The Keys or the ranchers of Montana or the hippies in California desert. It’s a truly beautiful thing. So throughout my teens and early twenties I went and visited all of them :)

I speak and bit of Spanish and a bit of French, though far from fluent and I would like to learn as much as possible! Looking for hosts and travelers who speak those languages.
