Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I want to be able to travel inexpensively and meet local people. They usually know the best places to go on outings, what to see, and they can teach me a lot about places I am traveling. I am not a person who wants to travel on cruises or stay in fancy hotels. I would much rather experience a place from a local's perspective.
Music, Movies, and Books
Growing up in the 60's in the Bay Area, I got to see a lot of bands. My favorites include Santana, Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers. I also like Jack Johnson, Jackson Brown, and Old Crow Medicine Show.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I don't know if I've done anything amazing, but I have climbed Mt. Rumble from the west side, Bashful Peak, and many other peaks in Chugach State Park.
