I have worked in resource extraction most of my adult life: logging,commercial fishing, mining, construction and have taught school, been a fire fighter and policeman, and done a dozen other things along the way. We (wife and I) have a modest 2 bedroom on the interior part of the east side of San Juan island---about 7 miles out of Friday Harbor. We have 5 acres so there is some room for camping and at times a spare bedroom in the house.
