About Me
Fair warning: If you do not bother to personalise your request for me, I will not bother to personalise my message of decline for you. Please read my profile and state why you would like to Couchsurf or meet up with me.
ABOUT ME
Originally from a small town called Yeovil in the UK I've managed to break free! I'm a sociable, friendly guy. I love meeting new people and making new friends. I'm one hell of an organiser, but travelling has taught me to be lenient along with it.
Since travelling, I have found that the real way to get to know a place is to speak to the locals and let them show you the way! So if you host me and I say "I don't mind, do what you think" I genuinely mean it for that reason!
PHILOSOPHY
I have two personal philosophies, one has been permanently etched into my skin, whilst the other is still a work in progress;
#1: The bitter and the sweet
Without the hard times, the bad times and the god damn low times, the good times aren't as good. They work in a unique balance which compliment each other in a way that you need to learn to appreciate. "Without the bitter baby, the sweet just ain't as sweet"
#2: Regret Nothing
Where you are now has been a combination of both good and bad events that have happened to you. Some of these things have been a direct result of your own decisions, good or bad. The rest are uncontrollable events that have happened to you by the result of others decisions. If you like who you are, what you are doing at this exact moment, then I repeat; Regret Nothing.

Interests
'Interests' is such a broad subject, but I'll list a few;
.People.
I LOVE meeting new people, locals and travellers alike.
.Photography.
A bit of self promotion here, but search for me on 500px. I'll openly admit, I'm not amazing, but it's something I enjoy. I love taking people to beautiful places in the area too!
.Cooking.
My parents weren't amazing cooks (as they'd admit), so I naturally had to cook if I wanted anything with better flavour or variation. If you want me to cook for us if you're staying with me or if I'm staying with you, I would be honoured!
.Martial Arts.
I am a 2nd Dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and I'm keen to extend my knowledge too, so any martial arts interest me.
.Music.
I learnt the keyboard as a kid and travelled with a Ukulele, last year, I was learning the guitar, but it's currently in the UK.
.Religion.
I am not religious, but I travelled through Muslim, Christian, Hindu and Buddhist countries, talking to people from different religious backgrounds fascinates me.
.Computing.
I am a software engineer, and I do enjoy it, but I won't talk about it. I understand it can be boring to people not in the industry, but if you want to know anything, ask me!
.The big things.
Where we came from, what makes things happen, karma, psychology.

- partying

Music, Movies, and Books
.Music.
My Music taste is versatile and includes, but is not limited to, these artists:
The xx, Mumford & Sons, Newton Faulkner, The Lumineers, Vampire Weekend, Of Monsters & Men, Bastille, Ben Howard, Elbow, Pendulum, The Vaccines, Snow Patrol, The Kinks, Blink 182, The Wombats, The Fray, Flogging Molly, Beach House, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Biffy Clyro, Joshua Radin, Missy Higgins, The Lighthouse Family, Evanescence, Taylor Swift & Queen.
The list goes on, but that's generally my taste (depending on the mood)
.Movies.
Vanilla Sky, Point Break, Inception, Fight Club, Hot Fuzz, Dejavou, Toy Story, The Lion King, The Expendables, Taken, The Hunger Games, The Matrix, X-men films, Iron Man, Gladiator, Spiderman, Dodgeball, Anchorman, The Hangover, The Butterfly Effect, Sliding Doors, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Mr & Mrs Smith, Django Unchained, Kill Bill, Valkerie, Inglorious Basterds, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Jurassic Park, American Pie, Source Code, The Bucket List, Triangle, The Transporter, The Inbetweeners, Apollo 13, Back to the Future.
.Books.
General non-fiction, however; The Hunger Games really captured me (before the film).
'A life sold' is a fantastic, true story which details the ups and downs of travelling beautifully.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hate this section, as if anyone on here can name just 'One Amazing Thing'.
Ask me about 'The Vietnamese wedding', 'The Indian Prayer party' or 'That day in Goa' for a good story. Or 'The Egyptian kidnapping', 'The Delation Motorbike' or 'The indonesian surfing incident' for one which isn't so pleasant.

What I Can Share with Hosts
As a couchsurfer, I always bring my own sleeping bag, towel, toiletries and personality.
I've slept on a hard floor in a café in HCMC, so I'm fine with whatever you have to offer me!
