ABOUT ME

We were married on April 30, 2009. We currently live in Scottsdale, Arizona but plan to move to a less hades-like climate soon. We LOVE to travel, but don't get the opportunity nearly enough.

PHILOSOPHY

We are taking on a new attitude of actually doing what we want to do in life! For so long, both of us have been constrained by finances, work, family obligations, etc...What we want now is to see the world, experience new places and people and eliminate the confinements we have placed on ourselves. Life is too short--While we're here, we want to live it up :)

We are new to CS but are looking forward to meeting new people and making new memories. We are happy to show around any who may be traveling to the Phoenix area!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our first trip to Europe was so much more than we thought it would be thanks to our amazing hosts. We love CS and hope to continue to meet new people from around the world!

Both of us are animal lovers. Our cat seems to have more say over our lives than we do! Lindsay enjoys reading, hiking, spending time with family, trying to become a wine drinker and constantly planning future trips. Steve is a very talented photographer and a short film actor/writer. He also enjoys reading, loves to discover new tasty beers and lives to make others laugh. Also, we are newly vegetarian (eventually trying to be vegan) which has been a great change for us. We are having so much fun learning new recipes and trying new foods!

We are both addicted to music. It is what sustains us through the good times and the bad. The Decemberists are probably our favorite band...ever. Colin Meloy, Death Cab for Cutie, Muse, Incubus, Mumford & Sons. The list could be never-ending. Lindsay enjoys the Harry Potter series (even though she's 25), anything written by Nicholas Sparks, books on stuff she doesn't know anything about! Steve enjoys reading Kurt Vonnegut, Douglas Adams and memoirs *to name a few.) We love any and all types of movies. The part of us that never grew up enjoys a Disney movie on a regular basis although we like big kid movies too.

Lindsay-One of the most amazing things I have ever seen is the Oregon coast. We visited for the first time in Sept 2009 and I never wanted to leave. It is a calming and surreal place.

As mentioned before, Steve is an avid photographer and has a great way of explaining the lingo. He would be a great person to chat with if one is thinking of learning about photography! Lindsay's (that's me!) great passion in life is cooking. While she still has a long way to go and much to learn, I'm sure she'd be happy to share her recipes with anyone! She would also like to learn new recipes on her travels and cook a couple meals with hosts!
We both are fascinated by Italian. It is such a beautifully spoken language and we hope to pick up a little here and there as we travel throughout Italy in the spring. If anyone has any pointers on where to start, we would welcome the input!
