Overview
About Me
I grew up in Philadelphia, but have lived in Israel for the last three years. I am a master's student of literature at Ben Gurion University in the desert city of Be'er Sheva. I love philosophy, music, and literature. I will begin a PhD program at Rutgers University in German Studies in the fall of 2017. My favorite writers are Kafka, Nietzsche, and Flaubert. My favorite music is the Beatles, Mozart, Blur, Oasis, and Of Montreal. I am a huge basketball fan as well - my team is the Philadelphia 76ers. I also am into yoga, meditation, and the stock market. I also worked as a lawyer before going into academia. I am 31.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would really like to improve my German, especially because I will be beginning a PhD program in German in just a few months. I also believe staying with local residents is an ideal way to learn the culture of any given place. Last but not least, as a student, I am always looking for ways to live frugally.
