About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a very practical person who has had many experiences both of a spiritual or and physical nature. I love to learn about new perspectives but I do have strong views on the world. This is something that I like, because it allows me to see the world with a clear lens, yet it has its down sides because it means I can be blunt. It is however, one of the best things about travel, as I can enter many situations that I allow me to expand my horizons and perspectives.

I am a father of a two year old son, named Ananda (his birth day is 10/01/2010). this was the name of Buddha's first disciple. He is a source of great strength and inspiration for me. He has taught me more about myself than I thought possible, bringing out a side of me that fills me with pride and humility.

My life is something that is open to change, which I gladly accept, yet I know that I have goals and dreams. It is through experience that I will attain this goal. I would love to have worked all jobs in the world (something I have started working towards already) because I am someone who is hands on, allowing me to relate to many people on their level. I have much left to learn but I have much left to live!

Interests

I love history, to acquire information on the past, allows me to connect with many people who have passed on, to engage in war fair, to seek hidden truths, to fight for what you believe in. But I feel that you have to be very careful of history, for it is propaganda, it is the interpretation of many (and often few) which creates the past. This is a lesson for all of life.

On a practical side I am a man who loves to work with his hands. This takes a number of forms, firstly building. I have made this my profession, which makes me a very lucky man: I have made my passion my job! Secondly, I am a great fan of plants, of life, creating it and profiting from it. I produce as much as I possibly can in my garden for my family, not only do I know where my food comes from but I get vast amounts of pleasure from the act.

I am also lover of activity, enjoying basketball, canoeing, biking, hiking, paragliding and any other activity that takes me out into the world.
