ABOUT ME

I set up Globe (Shanghai) Advanced Technical Services Co., Ltd. in Shanghai in 2005. After operating for nearly 10 years, the company has 20 employees, most of them survey engineers, 2D and 3D CAD operators. The focus is on updating and completion of technical documentation and as-built drawings for customers in the engineering and process industry, using laser scanning and other advanced technologies. The first company in China to operate a Leica HDS6000 scanner, Globe (Shanghai) Advanced Technical Services is a pioneer in this market.

Prior to setting up Globe (Shanghai), I enjoyed an 8-year career with Globe NV. I held various sales and marketing positions in this Belgium-based technical services company. I supervised the startup of a CAD operational team in Eastern Europe and was responsible for coordinating projects involving Chinese partners. After visiting China for the first time in 1982, the country became a passion. Since 1995 I traveled to China on numerous occasions, mainly to negotiate deals with Chinese subcontractors. Late 2003 I moved to Shanghai. I studied commercial and consular sciences in Antwerp (Belgium) and later obtained an MBA from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School.

I married in 2004 and have two sons and a daughter.
