About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel and experience the parts of the world that I have not yet

ABOUT ME

I am getting ready to head back to school and finish my degree in Information Assurance and Security(ethical hacking) after a VERY long break. I am a record collector, somewhat of a technophile, love tinkering with things, and enjoy pointless wandering.

PHILOSOPHY

To grow in Love throughout life

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spent about a year traveling the U.S. by motorcycle and visiting friends. I stayed with 4 or 5 awesome people during my travels. I have been unable to host but I now have an apartment all to myself(until April 2013) in Chicago and would like to open it up to people passing through. You can also hit me up if you want to get coffee, drinks, need a tour guide for the day(lived here for about 5 years), want to go on a bike ride, or want to buy me records ;)...just kidding.

I currently work two jobs from my house and kind of make my own schedule. I wanted to take advantage of the time I have now to host because I will be headed back to school soon and may not have as much free time as I do now.

Hopefully I will be moving to Colorado around June of 2013 after a couple months of traveling and will be able to host there too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been in Chicago for the last year and a few months and I am finally(for the first time in a long time) able to host people. I have couchsurfed quite a bit and hosted a fair amount in the past in conjunction with a few of my room mates. I have had nothing but great experiences and I have met some very cool, generous, and hospitable people in my travels...I have also had the pleasure of hosting quite a few too.

Interests

Music(making and listening to), nostalgia occasionally(when it is good),small little cafes with interesting artwork and oddities, Soccer, riding bikes, diving through bins of records, getting away from the city, finding really cool discarded stuff in alleys, and on and on and on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life is pretty amazing in general but I have stood on the very edge of the Grand Canyon with no fence to stop me from falling and took a pretty sweet road trip through Texas and New Mexico two summers ago...if you have never driven through West Texas and New Mexico they are pretty surreal.
