I’m Sunny, currently working at an international school in Qingdao, China. I live with my dog and cat and boyfriend in a spacious apartment by the sea. My dog is a hyper energetic attention-seeking border collie who wants to kiss you all the time. If you don’t like dogs, plz do not send me a request bc you won’t enjoy staying.

I’m a sociable INFJ/P who gets excited when exploring the unknown and learn about new cultures.

I see myself as an explorer of the world’s natural beauty and various cultures. I observe, listen and experience. I respect and embrace the world’s diversities.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Economics but decided to do my masters’ in Linguistics because I realized that my passion is more in language, culture and education (than making money.)

I studied in the UK for six months as an exchange student in 2015.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

It offers a chance to really get to know local people, culture and life, which is the essential part of traveling. It’s a sustainable and environmentally-friendly way of traveling.

Intereses

- Traveling. Let’s say this is the main reason that I work and save money.
- Hiking. I love nature more than anything else. (Unfortunately I’m not a super good hiker due to physical limits)
- Photography. When I feel like to, I take photos of strangers, share with them as a gift and make some new friends this way.

I don’t have a favorite type of music or musician. But I recently found music from Middle East sooooo good!

I enjoy all kinds movies(no horror films tho).

I’ve been a keen reader since little. I mostly read novels and proses. Here are some of my favorite books: Wuthering Heights, The Little Prince, Harry Potter, Flowers for Algernon, The Three-body Problem, Beautiful World Where Are You, Amusing Ourselves to Death, Narzi? und Goldmund, A Little Life.

I’m a qualified English and Chinese language teacher with rich experience and passion to teach!

I’m always interested in learning some basics of the local languages of where I travel to. I’m learning Italian now, hoping to be able to manage basic communication before I go travel there!

As a native Chinese who has travelled to various regions of China, I can offer in-depth insider’s perspectives on my country from all aspects (history, traditions, philosophy, language, education, daily life, food, regional diversities…)

I’ve also traveled to quite a few foreign countries and would be happy to share my experience if you’re interested :)
