ABOUT ME

We're a young Indonesian, dumpling-loving family living in Sydney: Daddy Dumpling James, Mummy Dumpling Kris, a super adorable baby Dumpling Eliza, and another dumpling in the oven!

Best way to describe us is that, apart from eating dumplings, we quote and refer to Family Guy and South Park regularly in our daily conversations.

We tried to be vegetarians after reading Eating Animals, however we found out that a meal without meat is not a meal at all!!

We both like to stay at home, even on weekends. The party scene is a thing of the past, and we're normally in bed by 11pm.
If you are in Sydney to enjoy the vibrant nightlife, unfortunately we are not the right hosts for you. Think of us as hobbits- food, peace and quiet is what we thrive on!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had the privilege of hosting many people from different countries and walks of life. We have developed good friendships with our surfers, so it has been a very lovely experience connecting with people from all over the world.

Interests

Sports- James runs the half marathons, Kris swims the ocean swims. Like The Flash and Aqua(wo)man- we wish!!
Music- be prepared to hear/ listen to a lot of The Wiggles.
Books- James reads anything by Jonathan Safran Foer, Kris keeps re-reading A Song of Fire and Ice series to deal with her Game of Thrones TV Series withdrawal.
Movies & TV- James likes deep, meaningful movies. Kris always makes time to watch The Doctor save the universe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

James: learning to weave and witnessing a rat barbecue in Laos. Running the TOKYO MARATHON.
Kris: Attending Mass at the St Peter Square in Vatican, and fighting off nuns to get communion.
