About Me

Hello :) I am a Food Science Student that loves to explore the world.
I also enjoy to meet new people and talk with them about their lifes, their thoughts and try to imagine how life looks through their eyes.
I am very openminded and I love learning new things. That reaches from languages to cultures over how to fix a broken bike to cooking typical things.
If I should list three things that I love it would be: the stars, the sea and a typical Swiss campfire with chocolate bananas and bread.
I am laughing a lot and I like people that don’t take everything to serious as well :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always appreciate to get to know a country by the people that live there. I think it is the easiest way to really get in touch with the country and see all the small and nice aspects that a city offers that all the other tourists don’t see. Also, I am very fascinated about how people live their life and how they see the world. For me staying at a host is the deepest way to travel. That’s why I want to stay at local houses and do local stuff or at least follow the local’s tips.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading! I read everything from very known classics (The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald is my favourite) to new outcomes. Probably this has a lot to do with my mum that worked in a book shop for a long time – what means that I grew up in one 😊
I also love watching TV series (Grey’s anatomy and O. C. California are my favourites) and movies. That’s what I would do on a typical rainy Sunday – stay in bed and watch movies. My favourite movie is ‘The Lord Of The Rings’.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked as a volunteer to save turtles in Costa Rica. It was a completely wild place I stayed at with no electricity or the possibility to get in touch with the world. It was an amazing adventure to get up in the middle of the night under a perfect star sky and walk up and down the whole beach to look for egg laying turtles. I will also never forget the first time I saw the baby turtles hatch. It was so sweet to hold one in my hand and feel the force they already possess – a unique experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn new stuff! I am interested in almost everything and very open-minded and happy for everything I can learn, see or create.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like making cakes and muffins and biscuits. I would be a good teacher for a the sweet pleasures that the kitchen can offer. Also I can teach French or German (both are my mother languages). I can offer long and interesting conversations about everything or just an open ear if needed :).
