ABOUT ME

Hi,

I love travelling and try to do so as much as possible. In the past I've visited most of Europe, South-East Asia, Nepal, Peru and Colombia, and the wish list of places I'd still like to go is long. I love to travel with an open mind and meet as many local people and travelers alike. I believe you can learn something new from everyone you meet. Seeing new places is so very inspiring!
When not on the road I love to meet people via couchsurfing to catch some of that vibe again.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short and valuable to not try to maximize everyday you're given. The world is big and everyone you meet has something interesting to tell or learn you. My mission is to see as much of the world as I can and to meet as many interesting people as possible. Also, I hope to leave the world behind in a better state than I found it somehow.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you are in the neighbourhood, feel free to contact me. I just moved to Arnhem and am happy to explore my new city with you. At the moment the house is still very cluttered so staying over is not possible now, but I'd love to meet you for a coffee or beer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met some great friends via our local couch surfing community. I hosted three people which were really nice encounters. Unfortunately not many people come to this neck of the woods but I would definetely like to host more people. I surfed with someone in Belgium which was a great experience. I hope many more will follow!

Music, Movies, and Books

Just a few of my favorite movies: Marie Antoinette, the motorcycle diaries, La vita e bella, the boat that rocked, reservoir dogs, cemetery junction. Recently I am on a Spanish movies kick to practice the language.
Some music I like: Florence + the machine, the cardigans, arctic monkeys, last shadow puppets
I love reading and especially novels that take place in other cultures or eras and non fiction (popular science, psychology, cultures)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A really amazing travel experiences was trekking in the Annapuran region in Nepal, it is so wonderful to enjoy this simple life existing of just walking through the most amazing scenery. However, the small gems of travelling can be just as amazing: a nice conversation, a beautiful sunset, the exciting feeling of just entering a new place, etc. etc.
