I'm from a small village in Bavaria, called Irmelshauen (500 inhabitants, almost more cows than people but you can find a beautiful castle and a lake there). Lived there until I finished High School in 2013 and started studying Business/Industrial Engineering in the small but beautiful town Ilmenau in Thuringia, Germany. At the moment I'm studying at the University of California Santa Barbara for one quarter abroad. I love traveling and I've been to a lot of awesome places in the US so far. San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Monterey and all the different National Parks like Joshua Tree, Sequoia or Yosemite impressed me a lot. I look forward to staying in the US until the end of January and explore more cities and regions. Since I've been 2 years old I play soccer in my hometown. So you might call me a soccer addict ;) but I also tried a lot of different other sports as Badminton, Tennis and I still love going for a run. I know I don't have any references yet but I was Couchsurfing with a friend in august (he received the references haha ;) ). So feel free to ask me anything you want to know, I look forward to getting to know you and teach you some useful German expressions. Lass von dir hören und bis bald!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I think Couchsurfing is an amazing website and can connect all different kinds of people all around the world. Each traveler looks for cheap or free places to stay the night and therefore a give-and-take community for travelers is the best idea to open your mind and get the real travel experiences!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music is very important to me (just like everybody says), actually I don't have one favourite band but if I had to name five, these would be my choices: Mumford and Sons (sick concert in LA in September!) , Rise Against, The Wombats, George Ezra and BOY However, I do listen to a lot of different music genres (Rock, Indie, HipHop, Metal (If you agree that Volbeat is Metal) and as a result I love festivals - Southside festival in Germany is my absolute favourite! Movies: The Lord of the Rings, Interstellar, The Theory of Everything, french comedies in general (Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu?) and I'm a big GOT fan Books: Mainly fantasy (Harry Potter, Eragon, Everything of Tolkien,...) when I grew up but now changes slightly thriller and political/social dramas/novels (Behind Closed Doors, Gone Girl, The Century Trilogy by Ken Follet).
One Amazing Thing I've Done
In July 2016 I donated stem cells to a 42 years old Portuguese. It was an amazing experience to give a total stranger a new chance to live. I'm excited to contact him as soon as the "prohibited contact time" is over.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm interested in a lot of different things - especially in new languages and cultures. I just fell in love with Spanish and I give my best to make efforts - so if you can speak this beautiful language I'd be happy for your help ;)!
What I Can Share With Hosts
- German expressions and for sure some German recipes - A lot of fun going to parties or pubs together (If the beer is good haha ;) ) - Love for soccer and all kinds of sports - Love for music - A new contact in Germany and the invitation to stay on my couch when I'm back there
