Overview
About Me
I have been working as a freelance translator for a few years now.
I have 3 adult children who live in different countries.
I have a house in a small city close to Rio de Janeiro where I can enjoy the ocean and a calm life with my four dogs and a few friends.
I love outdoor activities and sports in general, and also I love books, movies and good music.
I have been a vegetarian for over 30 years but I don't usually talk about it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I said before, working as a freelancer I have the chance to travel and discover new realities - places, cultures, people - which is the thing that excites me the most in life.
This platform gives me the opportunity to bring all of this together, because the best way to get to know a place and understand its culture is to get to know its people.
I joined the platform years ago, and had excellent experiences hosting people. For personal reasons, I deleted the account for a while, and now I'm back.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like almost all types of music, it depends on the moment, mainly .... Brazilian songs but not everything.
About movies, drama, cop movies, and surprisingly, I love superhero movies when it comes to have fun.
There are many favorites regarding books, but one that comes to my mind right now is a Brazilian writer (Clarice Lispector) who was the one who definitely got me into the world of words.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I paddled in the most important canoeing competition in Hawaii.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching and learning is an exchange, so it takes a few hours to learn what there is to exchange. I am always open and eager to learn new things. I also love sharing what I know.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm great at baking cakes!!
I can be a great help with many things... I can share my love for kids and dogs and also my knowledge and experience as a Spanish and Portuguese teacher, for example.
And more important, I have lots of stories to tell.
