PLEASE DO NOT ASK US TO HOST MORE THAN A WEEK IN ADVANCE or TO STAY MORE THAN TWO NIGHTS! Okay, that being written, I am an archaeologist and work in 29 states, including Alaska, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. My husband is the athletics photographer for a university’s and on the road with the teams. As a photojournalist he covered fires, murders, hostage situations, and won a Pulitzer. Between the two of us, we have been to every state. We have the silliest dogs named Big (Miniature American Eskimo) and Audi (Alaskan Klee Ki). Every Couchsurfer falls in love with them and has to get a pix together. Friends say I should write a book with all the stuff we have done: two summer hikes across the Grand Canyon; crash expensive New Year's Eve parties; worked as movie extras; was an alternate for two seasons of Survivor; my love of Halloween; a Zombie for Zombie WarZ; and gone to indoor and outdoor raves. You never know when a light up skirt will come in handy!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
We want to help those who just need a night or two during their trip/journey/adventure to make it cheap, relaxing, and safe. I am grateful for CS when I have been traveling and could not find available lodging.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I like MCR, Post Malone, Ed Sheeran, Chris Young, Elton John, John Denver - basically, everything except heavy metal and opera. Movies: Clue, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Field of Dreams, The King's Speech, Mulan (1998), Return to Me, 3:10 to Yuma, Master and Commander, Facing the Giants, Gladiator, National Treasure, My Big, Fat, Greek Wedding, Letters to Juliet, Baptists at our Barbecue, Brave, Rocketman Books: The Count of Monte Cristo (A. Dumas), The Amelia Peabody Series (E. Peters), Let's Pretend This Never Happened (J. Lawson), Blood and Treasure (Drury and Calvin), Stiff (M. Roach), Longitude (D. Sovel), Devil in the White City (E. Larson), The Bible
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I completed a six-month, solo archaeological survey in the desert that covered 6,500 acres with temperatures over 118 degrees F. In that time I hiked over 800 miles and located 145 previously unrecorded archaeological sites. When I got to the end, I turned around and covered the same area again to do the second phase of the project for the next six months. Best year of my life!
Teach, Learn, Share
People all over the world are more alike than we think. I am not naive, but I believe most people are good.
What I Can Share With Hosts
An interest in their local culture and history, stories of the real America (NOT the media version), and a great sense of humor!
