CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

We have been married for 5 years, and since the beginning of our relationship, traveling and meeting new people has been a part of our identity and growth as a couple. Tammy is from St. Louis, Missouri, USA and Aengus is originally from Ireland, but he grew up in Cambridge, UK. Together we have roadtripped across the US to the west coast and have also done many travels before meeting each other. Currently, we are living in Abu Dhabi where Aengus is working for a local in accounting/finance and Tammy is teaching in an Abu Dhabi public school. She has also recently completed her master's thesis and will be publishing it in the near future.

Our eating habits are mostly vegetarian, but we also like fish (fish and chips are a favorite!). We love trying different types of food...so we occasionally eat meat but much prefer vegetarian!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We can host couchsurfers. We have a spare room with 2 single mattresses and 1 double (camping mattress).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Tammy has couchsurfed in Portland, Oregon. And we have couchsurfed in Paris. Both were great experiences, and we met so many people through the hosts. She and Aengus definitely look forward to surfing again and hosting surfers.

Lots. Mostly fiction. Our mutually favorite author is Tom Robbins...We have read Fierce Invalids, Another Roadside Attraction, Still Life, Jitterbug Perfume, and Wild Ducks Flying Backwards. Jane Austen and Shakespeare are also two of our favorite authors.

Some of our favorite music includes Davendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom, old soul/R&B/funk, Aphex Twin, Bob Dylan...

Our favorite film directors are David Lynch and the Coen Brothers. We recently finished watching the series "Twin Peaks" by David Lynch.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Tammy has been Scuba Diving in Aruba! Not much to compare it to really--it is otherworldly and haunting.

The Grand Canyon was one of the most amazing places we've visited together. The view looked like a painting...it didn't even look real!

We both dance Lindy-Hop and can teach basics. We would like to learn more dance techniques!
