About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To show people that the English aren't all that bad.
ABOUT ME
Hi - my name is Tamsin and I am a web designer from Leeds, UK. I have been couchsurfing with my then partner Nick, last year and have had some really cool experiences and met some awesome people. I am currently travelling around the world and hope to meet new people and see some new places (on my own this time!) I taught english in Korea last year and wanted to see a bit more of the world this year!
PHILOSOPHY
The love you take is equal to the love you make.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Nick and I have surfed in...
Berlin (2)
Munich
Vienna
Linz
and I would like to soon surf in
New York and San Francisco
Interests
Hobbies: I'm more of a stationary person so not much sport, or as little as possible, occasional running when the jeans don't fit so well, yoga and swimming (not too strenuous) drinking red wine, reading, sleeping, eating and cooking food from different countries, travelling, going to music festivals, cats, baking cakes, knitting, socialising. Oh and I love cheese!!!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I really like classics, once upon a time in america, donnie darko. I like foreign films too - ma vie en rose, le diner du con and mal educaion. I LOVE horror movies - especially zombie movies. I have a zombie contingency plan..just in case.
Music: A bit eclectic - I like silly electro when I am in the mood, erol alkan, boize noize, 2 many DJs etc. I like four tet, and I really like classic stuff blondie, dire straits, jefferson airplane. Dad raised me on 60's motown so I like quite a lot of that.
Books: Where to start - I love reading - total bookworm! I love lists (I think most people secretly do) and Im working my way through some sci-fi Dune, Frank Herbert, Hitch hiker's guide, I think my favourite stuff is historical fiction: Music and Silence by Rose Tremain is a wicked book, and a Year of Wonders - Im forget the author, are two of my favourites, because they are beautifully written and tell a great story. I could ramble on and bore you senseless with how much I love books but you have probably got the picture :0
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Dont know how these compare but ive stayed over night in a buddist temple. I've travelled on the trans-siberian express last year which was heaps of fun and I have currently just finished two weeks in Thailand and travelling round Australia at the moment. Im planning on going to New Zealand and finishing off in the US. Im travelling for the first time by myself so finding this a bit daunting but heaps of fun!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have worked as an English teacher in the past and love literature and consider myself a grammar fiend! I do love spelling and really enjoy reading!
