As you can see on the top of the page my name is Tanis. No this is not common name in my country. In fact I haven't meet anyone with same name as mine. So if you know someone please let me know.

Probably you have already noticed that I can talk a lot. This is my superpower. I can talk about my travel experience, books I have read, movies I have seen... Sometimes I can even talk about things I don't know much about.

I live with my girlfriend Ana in an apartment near town center. Anything in Maribor is near town center. We both love hiking, so during summer we try to spend as much time outdoor as we can.

I work as a software developer in the small company. Another topic I can talk about (too much according to Ana) ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that to understand places you visit you need three things: you need to read about it, you need to see it and you need someone, that you can discuss it with. CS is perfect platform for meeting local people that can show you places from there point of view.

When you are at home is good to host other travelers. They will break your routine and sometimes you will see your own town from different perspective.

Interests

I am hobby photographer. In practice that means that I have bought enough photography equipment to know that new lenses don't always make better photos. Also I need just one more lens and my photos will be perfect.
