Обо мне

Serial traveller Vs.
Compulsive conservationist.

A wildlife Naturalist by profession and passion, my call for conservation comes first. I also love to explore cultures, cuisines, crafts, communities, natural history, heritage and arts.

I am a climate conscious person living and traveling with minimal carbon footprints. Every consumerist action has a big impact on the planet. I have a minimalist approach towards life and believe in the power of slow living. I dote on my trysts in nature and wildlife to encounter experiences that are beyond the realms of words.

While on the fields that normally have no networks, I may not be able to respond to hosting requests.

True travelers with a penchant for trespassing undivulged territories are welcome!

Be prompt with your communication while sending hosting request. I am not home most of the time. I need to plan my time to host you. Last moment delays/requests will not be responded. A decent introduction of yourself along with the reason for traveling to my place would be appreciated before you send a request for hosting.

Что привело меня на Couchsurfing

Every guest brings his part of the world and his experiences in travel on the table. I look forward to the learnings from exchange of ideas, outlooks, perceptions and cultures, paving ways for trust, open mindedness and acceptance by bridging gaps, crossing borders, breaking barriers of not limiting travel to a certain class or gender, creating seamless contacts, transcending countries and continents, solidifying secularism enroute, all built on the premise of one tenet; travel, explore, seek, delve into the unknown.

Couchsurfing is a spirit that rises above all social frontiers and economic enclosures.

*Scuba diving in Malvan.
*Rope river crossing in river Beas.
*Rapelling in Sandhan Valley.
*Kayaking in Kemmannu Backwaters.

*Turmeric Festival at Pattan Kodoli, Maharashtra.
*Karthik Purnima Deepotsav at Panchganga Ghat, Kolhapur
*Close encounter with leopard during wildlife training at KTR Dandeli.
*Traveling to remote villages in Malkangiri in the Eastern Ghats of Southern Orissa, exploring the PVTGs (Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups)
*I missed my 4.30 pm last bus from Padua to Jeypore which is a tribal hamlet 30 kms from Araku Valley. There was no public transport to Semiliguda either where I could have a safe hotel stay. With tension mounting till 8 pm, finally my stars shone when a kind family gave me a lift to koraput in their car, served me sumptuous dinner at their home, hosted me well for the night and dropped me at the bus stop next morning. When I mentioned it was my first day in Orissa, the family treated me like 'Athithi Devo Bhava' in the state. Such unsolicited warmth makes travel worthy. They turned out to be couchsurfers in the truest sense.
