About Me

My name is Tanya and I'm a third-year student studying linguistics. I'm majoring in Theory and Methodology of Teaching Foreign Languages and Cultures. I have been learning English more than 6 years now and now I'm learning German and Korean. Learning languages is one of my greatest passions. This is a process I really enjoy. What I've recently started to enjoy even more is to teach other people!

Aside from that, traveling. It is my real passion. I love organizing the whole journey to the letter. I’m dead set on seeing the whole world! Really.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world.
I'd like to share Russian culture with other people.
And I truly believe that it's possible to make long-lasting friendship through traveling.
All people are so different and it can't become boring to to meet them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love post-hardcore, deathcore and metalcore. Annisokay, Adept, Bring me the horizon and many others..

My favorite books are ‘The picture of Dorian Gray’ by Oscar Wilde and ‘Flowers for Algernon’ by Daniel Keez. My favorite genre is (auto)biography.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling to Seoul without my mom..XD Living there independently for a month. It was a real challenge for someone very new to traveling.
Staying in the hostel for the first time in my life sharing room with 10 guys....

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cleaning. That's the least I can do for my hosts.

Teaching Russian, English and Korean (a little bit). I can teach you some dirty Russian words (what actully made Russian language famous...not sure if it is for the better).

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine

Countries I’ve Lived In

Russian Federation, South Korea
