About Me

Hi! My name is Tanya. I'm a multimedia artist living split between Kyiv and St.Petersburg. Currently I've got an offer and a scholarship to study MA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts. I'm looking forward to come to my beloved London at the end of September and I dream to meet local artistry people and other magic dwellers of the Island
----------------------------------------------------------------
I believe that all the people, all kind of life on the Earth and in the Universe are relatives. Everything is One!
-------------------------------------------
I have to confess -all my life is for art and I would like to make my whole life as art. I hope that my open-minded nature and wide variety of interests will show me the right way to it.
Please, if you want to send me request or hangout, be sure that you share my deep interest in arts ( any type of it) and culture (any type-philosophy, religion, science, technologies etc) . If not- better look for anyone else.

I’m cheerful and calm at the same time. If you are my host you can be sure that I'll be flexible and convenient guest .
Let's be kind and open-hearted to each other and I'm sure that your (or mine) trip will be excellent and soulful. Genuine smile is the key to understanding and happiness.
If you are engaged (or just really appreciate) in any kind of art (especially contemporary art, music, new media art, painting, drawing etc) you'll be surprised to meet in me a good companion:)
I have just started to show my art on the web and here you can see a tiny part of my portfolio

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me it's surprising meetings with new people, who you could never met without СS. Also the opportunity to share with somebody your hospitality and entertainment is nice.
I have never used all the CS's potentials, but I think that to be a guest in a new country with your same like-minded persons that's a real present of destiny, much better than to be a lonely stranger in a
soulless commercial hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm fond of good music, films and books! They appear a beautiful part of our life and it is wonderful!
Favourite directeurs:Lynch, Tarkovsky, Fellini, Pazolini, Kim Ki Duk, Martin Sulík, Kubrick, Coens, Gilliam.....I could continue this list indefinitely long.
Books...It's too much for writing actually. When I was a little girl I read
Nietzsche, Shakespeare,
Huxley, Orwell, Kerouak, Céline, Castaneda, Hermann Hesse, Edgar Poe, Bradbury, Dostoevsky, Bunin, Nabokov, Marquez...Now I decided that my favourite book is English children's novel ''The Wind in The Willows'', ahahhhaa ))) The more I read the more I liked fairy tales.
I'm a real music lover! I'm learning to play the piano, synthesizers, in apps etc and also can sing, having the timbre mezzo-soprano to contralto.
Genres: experimental electronic music, ambient, classics, IDM, trance, psychedelick, acid house, techno, minimal, field recording, new academic music, post-punk, new wave, industrial, blues, soul, improvisation, neo folk, meditative music, choirs, singing bowls...
The last popular concerts, which I visited were Psychic TV, Death in June, Einsturzende Neubauten, Xiu Xiu, Tricky not avoiding phylarmonie and numerous concerts of my friends and some even mine, which you might not know yet )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was hanging painted with body art and bounded with shibari (Japanese binding) on the real tanks in the center of Kyiv. This was my performance named "Will to freedom" made for peace (or against war):) in my country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

It's always a good idea to make an art present (print or drawing for example) for a host. I'm really good with portraits and figurative drawing and if I'm inspired and you wish- then we can make some sketching sessions with you.
I love astrology and can make for you your personal natal chart which might answer some your personal questions about psychology, relationships, your lifetime goals, career etc.
Also I cook quite well vegetarian meals and happy to make surrounding space to " feng shui " state of being) Additionally, I have worked for a couple of years as interior designer and could give you some professional advice if requested
