About Me

I worked in mental health and the hospitality field on and off for about two decades and learned a lot from it. I have a love for being in new cultures and am fascinated by different countries. I love being outside, and cooking and genuinely enjoy being around animals. I am at a point where in ready to switch gears and focus a bit more on my spirituality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I grew up on Long Island and have pretty much have spent most of my life in New York. I have always made my main base to be in NY and would do some traveling in between. I have backpacked before and am now ready to actually take a major leap and actually move. I have gotten rid of all of any items deemed as excess and am ready to do some traveling out west and into Australia and Taiwan. This could potentially be a two year to forever trip but I'm ready to take the leap.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just taking that first step of solo travel. It takes courage and confidence to be able to do something like that at first. That was a huge life change for me. Now its become much easier as you become more seasoned but anyone that is able to do that is pretty friggin amazing. Just sayin :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook. I'm not like a chef or anything but I am somewhat comfortable in the kitchen. I've been known to make meals out of random food in the kitchen into some pretty sweet meals. Its kind of an art form. I also just like to share life ideas, points of interests and common interests. I just want to share memorable experiences.
