About Me
I am attempting to expand my mind by meeting new and exciting individuals as I embark on my journey of self discovery
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am currently experiencing the “crunch time” as you may call it as the deadline for my college enrollment status is nearing. I am on couch surfing because I am an 18 year old girl who was recently accepted to UCSB, UCSD, and UCSC. I am currently waitlisted for UCLA. Given the fact that I happen to come from a low income family who is very condescending and unsupportive of my decision to attempt to move across the county, I am struggling as a full time high school student with a minimum wage job and can barely afford to catch a round trip (around $400). Ultimately, I do not want to spend the rest of my life wondering “could I have done better” and lose out on what could be an incredible opportunity. However, I don’t feel comfortable committing to a school I’ve never been able to experience. I hope that yet another sociable, compassionate, and trustworthy individual will be kind enough to offer me a place to reside for a night or two as I attempt to further my academic endeavors and meet new people along the way!
