About Me
CURRENT MISSION
The world, my life, the game
ABOUT ME
I'd describe myself as an international renaissance woman - lived in 3 countries (India, Australia and now the USA) I have travelled to most parts of the world for business and pleasure. Intelligent, quick witted, deep thinker, curious, and enjoys fun company. I currently live in a place of good creative vibes near the Joshua tree national park in a cabin on 10 acres. I have a guest bedroom or trailer to share with couch surfers visiting the national park, along with conversation, and a home cooked meal.
I used to be in the corporate world as an engineer and businessperson but am now a photographer with a passion for storytelling. I am an avid sailor and have sailed offshore across 3 oceans the Atlantic, Indian and most recently this year the pacific as well as numerous other places- I even have a pirate story to tell. It’s my dream to get my own boat and solo across the pacific one day
PHILOSOPHY
Carpe diem
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Love to host people at my abode and look forward to meeting people when I travel to your cities. For people visiting my place - I'd very much prefer if you had your own mode of transportation and are autonomous.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While I havent had many direct CS experiences yet.
As a traveller at heart, I have had many CS experiences when the internet did not exist.
There have been dozens of occassions probably too many to count where serendipitious occurances on the open road have lead to many couchs/guest rooms being surfed. The experiences and friendships gained along those routes have been enchanting. But it is the indelible imprint of these experiences that have led me to trust in the general goodwill of people and strangers everywhere- and this is priceless!
Interests
Interests :
Photography, Cooking, accomplished sailor (ASA104), hiking, Scuba diver (advanced open water PADI-deepest dive 100feet), yoga asanas, Meditation (vipassana/binural beats), investing, problem solving, humour, flying, bad golfing, a bit of writing, storytelling, philosophy discussions around a well laden table with like minded souls.
IF your into sailing (esp racing), scuba or flying cessnas I'd be up for a joint adventure. Although am not a pilot, I took flying lessons a few years ago and loved it - flying was easy and invigorating, landing and communication sucked).

Music, Movies, and Books
An avid reader, I usually have a few books going on at the same time.
Movies - usually not the risk averse mainstream hollywood stuff, I like well crafted well made movies that demands engagement (and this does not mean a big budget movie)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sailed across 3 oceans and fought pirates off the coast of Venezuela!
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn to better write/tell great stories, take a better photo, and learn to play the ukulele
I have plenty to share/teach from photography tips, cooking(from sushi to german spaetzle), inner explorations and good energy and sailing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’ll take you out for a meal and my abode will be available to you in exchange.
