About Me

Greetings fellow travelers! I’m Rinat, an adventurer from Yakutia with a zest for life. My interests are as diverse as my journey – from hitchhiking and honing my cooking skills to the joy of learning languages. I believe in savoring every moment, whether it’s a lively party or a casual drink shared with friends.

Cultural exploration is my forte. I’ve immersed myself in the US workforce for half a year, embarked on a non-stop three-month odyssey across seven Asian countries, hitchhiked through the captivating Balkans, and explored the vast landscapes of Yakutia.

Linguistically versatile, I can converse in English, Russian, Sakha, and Bulgarian, adding a linguistic twist to our conversations. Among the tapestry of my travels, Indonesia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Portugal hold a special place in my heart.

As a guest, I thrive on connecting with locals who adore their city. My ideal host is someone eager to showcase their favorite spots, engage in meaningful conversations, and perhaps join me for a shared adventure. Let’s explore, share stories, and create lasting memories together! 🌍✨

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here to unravel the tapestry of places through the stories and perspectives of the incredible people who call them home. As a solo traveler, exploring a new country can sometimes feel isolating, and that’s where Couchsurfing steps in. This platform has become my bridge to connection, allowing me to dive into the heart of communities and experience the authenticity that comes from sharing a space with locals.

Beyond the enriching cultural exchanges, there’s the practical side too. Traveling on a budget, I’ve discovered that Couchsurfing not only provides a comfy spot to rest but also offers the invaluable chance to connect with individuals passionate about their city. It’s a win-win, where I get to save money and gain priceless insights, making every journey an adventure of both the wallet and the heart. Let’s share stories, experiences, and create connections that extend far beyond a place to crash. 🌍💙

Music, Movies, and Books

Pop and rock are my favourite genres of music, especially ethnic
In general, I really like Yakutian, Kazakh, and Russian ethnic art, be it music, cinema, or literature

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most unforgettable adventures I’ve embarked on was a three-day river rafting expedition along the enchanting Amga River in my homeland, Yakutia. The sheer beauty of the landscape was awe-inspiring, but what truly made it extraordinary were the people.

Yakutian culture holds a special place in my heart, especially the deep and meaningful conversations we share. Our cultural activities, filled with games transcending age, are a testament to the strong bonds we forge. However, my absolute favorite part was our nightly ritual of storytelling.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we’d kindle a fire on an island or a riverbank, coming together to share tales till the break of dawn. Amidst sipping tea, the flickering flames, and the rustling river, we wove the fabric of Yakutian scary stories. The art of storytelling here is so captivating that you’re simultaneously scared and charmed. Those nights of sharing tales, laughter, and goosebumps by the river are etched in my memory as a truly magical experience. 🚣‍♂️🔥🌌
