About Me
Hey there!:)
My name is Thaisa and I'm 23-year old Ukrainian girl with a passion to travel the world as much as possible. I can tell you a lot about journalism and listen to your stories with pleasure.
I like to think I'm pretty laid-back, but I could be wrong. I prefer deep conversations about faraway galaxies, the meaning of life, memories, sex, intellect, aliens, your childhood, insecurities and fears to small talks about 'what's up'. I'm always up for good talks about your country and culture, of friendly discussions :) A lot of the time, I'd rather talk over a beer than party all night. However, after 2 beers, this is no longer true.
Although I could be afraid of something I've never done before, which is completely normal for human beings, I try to go outside the comfort zone and always looking for new people and things to discover, leaving those fears behind. I truly enjoy culture sharing prosess.
I am currently working as a journalist at one of the biggest Ukrainian media outlets, trying to make the world a better place. My interests have always been human society and the internal human experience as well as existentialist humor, art, coffee, languages, etc. Also I love music though I don't play any instruments or anything, but I've been to lots of different concerts and it's just amazing.
I have a lot of friends from different parts of the world and I just want to make more :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling and staying with locals is the only way to fully experience the city or a country.
While it's great to visit the famous tourist attractions, I would like to see some beautiful places that are not listed on the travel brochures, I feel that a local will know best and can show me the hidden gems.
If you are visiting my hometown Kyiv at any point - say hi :) I will be happy to show you around the city or just give you advices on what to do here.
