I took a year off from college and worked at a charter school as a long-term sub teacher for a 4th/5th grade hybrid class. I had no experience teaching or ever working full-time and suddenly I was in charge of 24 children from 7am-3pm. It grew me in amazing ways - they taught me much more than I taught them! I continued to work part time in the after-school program there when I started back at school, now I've moved locations and moved on but it was an amazing experience.

A sense of humor, enjoyment in games and the little things, willingness to help out (I can cook and clean), and Jesus-like love.
