About Me
Hai, just call me Taylor if you find it hard to pronounce my Chinese name. Generally speaking, I am an outgoing person and am quite approachable. I enjoy getting to know people and intercultural exchange. I am quite open-minded so it is perfectly fine if you want to talk about some sensitive topics with me. I always find it interesting to learn new things and new perspectives. I can be quite talkative sometimes, but don't assume I won't have moments of feeling down.
I am now in my second year in the UK in this green modern city called Milton Keynes after the completion of my Master in Nottingham. I love the peaceful life here that is away from the chaos in big cities though it can be kind of scary to go out at night :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Make friends and meet interesting and like-minded people for friendship or cultural exchange.
Music, Movies, and Books
I am a big fan of music of many genres, especially country and folk. I admire artists who dare to be true and different in front of people. I used to write songs about my experience and it was a good way to release feelings and emotions. I like to do Karaoke sometimes in public though some British people told me it is more of an activity for drunk people to do.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Left China and worked in Thailand for three years. I had some really incredible experience. I am always trying to push my self out of my comfort zone.
Teach, Learn, Share
I taught Mandarin in Bangkok in the last three years and am now doing my MA in Education in Nottingham. I want to start learning another language, maybe German, if you would like to do the language or cultural exchange, I am in.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Travelling experience, life philosophy or maybe we can create some memories for this column together.
