About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore this wonderful world and learn whatever I can along the way.
ABOUT ME
I am an easy going guy with a taste for adventure. I love to spend time outdoors, get my hands dirty and always welcome a good thrill. I am one of the least intimidating people you will meet with a laid back, anything-goes attitude. I have a mild, though healthy, obsession with all things food and love to cook. I feel most at home in the mountains, though the water comes in as a close second. I am very respectful of people's space and time and am always willing to help with whatever tasks need doing. I love to meet new people...so maybe I'll see you sometime!
PHILOSOPHY
Live simply, live lightly and it will be easier to love it all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined CouchSurfing as a way to find a couch here and there and meet some new people.
I currently don't have a residence, let alone a couch to offer up, but I promise that as soon as I settle down I will be hosting as well!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Some time around Barcelona and a roundabout adventure in the Netherlands...great experiences.
Also, driving back and forth across the country I have done my fair share of couch surfing along the way (mostly with friends and the random airport acquaintance) and always welcome a good couch to sleep on, though I am perfectly happy with a floor if that is all there is.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: jam bands, bluegrass, old-time Appalachian...really anything new and unique
Books: the occasional classic novel, but mostly non-fiction adventure, education and text books...yes, i know I'm a nerd.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once joined a research team on a trip to Antarctica where we spent three weeks on a ship along the Antarctic peninsula. It was a whole different world I could have never imagined. Amazing...simply amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yes! I would love to share my knowledge of food, nutrition and any cooking skills anyone would want to learn. Have a dish you would like to cook? Let me know and I'll try to teach you.
Know anything about sustainable design, architecture or farming? Let me know! I would love to learn and discuss.
