Overview
About Me
Hello, we're Sarah, Gareth, Isaac, sometimes Nancy and Bernard (twins) too and Tess and Tilly the Border Terrier dogs. We're pretty laid back as a family and enjoy days out. Gareth teaches French full time and Sarah works part time as an instructor at a local gym.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
People make life amazing, by being on Couchsurfing we are exposed to new people that we might not necessarily meet on our day to day travels. Gareth is new to Couch Surfing, but Sarah has really enjoyed hosting people over the years; everyone has a different reason for visiting and things they want to do. We love the project and think it stands testament to the fundamental goodness of people.
Interests
Obviously we love the children. We're also passionate about cooking excellent food that is lower in carbs (because health.) We don't drink as much as we used to, but are still partial to the odd gin/beer/cider/wine. We love our friends, camping, films, visiting new places and going back to places we love. We're a bit nerdy and love reading books/audiobooks and graphic novels. Sarah loves crochet, knitting, sewing - generally making stuff. Gareth is really rather good on guitar and plays lead guitar in a successful ELO tribute band. Isaac is aaaaaall about video games.
We love people. Life is about spending time with people and hearing their stories. People over things every time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Sarah loves Neil Gaiman and anything a bit unusual. Gareth is a huge fan of Stephen King. We both appreciate the English language and it's composition so anything carefully and lovingly crafted.
Music: we have reasonably eclectic tastes ranging from electronica to rock to Motown to house.
Movies: classic kung fu, anime, twisted cartoons, good comedies, black comedies, thought provoking documentaries, period dramas and well made, beautiful films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We hiked a marathon to raise money for charity.
Teach, Learn, Share
Sarah - experience in Shiatsu/Complementary Therapies, exercise and nutrition; I enjoy looking at health from a holistic/preventative perspective.
We love to cook and experience new dishes. We'd gladly share our kitchen with you.
