ABOUT ME

Hi, I am Ted Kim from South Korea. I’ve been teaching English for years, and now I am working as a school counseling teacher. I’ve finished my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. 🙆🏻‍♂️

During my undergraduate, I majored in TESOL(English education) and Psychology. I am passionate in helping people grow and develop their better tomorrow. After graduation, I started studying counseling psychology for my master’s degree.

Currently, I am working as a school psychologist. I am meeting primary school kids, helping them learn and grow healthier.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had a dream of couch surfing because I thought it's such a wonderful way of culture and language exchange.

Over the past few years, I’ve met such a wonderful and fabulous people here. 🥰 All of them were so kind and nice; so I tried to repay for that whenever I met someone here.

I’ve met a few friends in Indonesia through CS. Then we met each other back in Korea! In return, I visited them again a few years later. Our life still goes on even after we say goodbye to each other. See you again!

Interests

I love volunteering for children in need. I believe that creating shared value is a way of walking together toward a better and brighter future.

I am into religions and spirituality. Though I don’t stick to a specific relgion, learning and getting to know each other is always fascinating for me. As I am teacher, I am curious about how others are living all around the world so that I can teach those things to my students. 😆

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started teaching English when I was 16. From March, 2022, I became a public school counseling teacher. I have saved a lot of endangered kids by providing them crisis intervention services.

I’ve taught English and basic psychology courses. I know how to read tarot cards too. 🔮 I would love to share the ideas and experiences with you.
