About Me
After a time travelling I recently moved to Berlin to do my PhD here. Besides my full time status of a science nerd I am completely dancing addicted. I currently train in a Salsa show group and I am giving dance workshops together with my partner all around Germany. So in case you are also unable to resist the catchy southamerican drums I am happy to share my knowledge with you and teach some of the basic moves over a glas of wine ;)
In case you first want to "stalk" me on Facebook, go ahead ;) https://m.facebook.com/tere.perga?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The last year I went travelling in South America for half a year and I met so many amazing people on the way - locals as well as other travellers. I realized by that time that the only chance to get an authentic glance about a place is by seeing it through the eyes of locals, rather than chasing touristic attractions. I am a very curious person and I am happy about learning from other people's experiences and also to share my stories.
Interests
As I said I am a real dance freak! Dancing is for me like yoga is for others...
Beside of that I am still discovering my new surrounding Berlin, strolling around flee markets or simply relaxing at one of the beautiful lakes here. I sometimes come back to playing the piano and enjoy going to classical concerts, theater or dance performances, although that might sound quite snobby ;)
Music, Movies, and Books
Almost everything that is related to rythm ;) I love everything from Salsa over good old rap music to classical music...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Life is full of magic moments! I live enjoying all of them keeping my eyes open for what's coming next...
For me it is more about the small maybe trivial moments that make life. Such moments when I realize that people around me care about each other. Or when I in a beautiful surprise all over sudden find myself faced with soulmate on the other edge of the world, regardless culture, religion, color or language. Those are the moments I live for.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my funny travelling stories and the German culture and language and I'm curious to learn from yours. I love cooking and could offer to cook some traditional German dishes like Spätzle and Schnitzel and people rumor that I do an amazing apple pie ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
A free salsa dancing course, my positive energy and some about the German culture ;)
