About Me

Hi, I'm Teresa!

I work at a small publishing house, which goes very well with my love of books and the joy of creating things. My other job is paired nicely with my passion for travelling: I write stuff for a local travel company and research travel itineraries for them. However, instead of writing about places I would rather travel all of them.

I have a degree in cultural studies and love experiencing diverse cultures and learning about the small and curious stuff people in other countries do differently.

I am a curious, friendly and open person, I love deep conversations, tasty food, cooking and hanging out with friends. As I usually wear my heart on my sleeve I am quite easy to get to know and am low-maintenance.

In 2016 I got married to my amazing husband Mike and we try to travel as much as possible, after exploring Southeast Asia for the last years we are now planning a trip down the west coast of the USA.

After studying in Würzburg and Galway, Ireland we moved back to Aschaffenburg, my hometown. It's a little quiet, but still there are great things to do around town (and there is a great bouldering gym nearby)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my opinion, experiences of places are usually closely linked to the people you meet there.
I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, see new places through their eyes or show them around my hometown.
