Hi!🤙 My name is Tereza and I’m 23 years old student from Czech Republic. I love traveling and adventures and I’ve always dreamed about studying abroad. This year my dream finally came true and currently I’m studying in amazing Madison, Wisconsin. After the end of semester, I would love to travel for a while, meet some interesting people and learn something new! :)

I'm very positive and open-minded person. I love traveling, animals, nature and sports. I grew up in a very small village, population 300. There is a lot of woods and meadows around my village and this is how I fell in love with nature and animals. Just being in the nature and enjoying its sounds and smells is something that gives me so much energy. I believe that there will never be anything bigger, more perfect or more beautiful than nature. I like to connect with nature through animals and selected sports. Animals I spend most time with are dogs and horses but I love all animals, I love how present and mindful they are. Sports I like are swimming, hiking, cycling, cross-country skiing and probably all water sports, especially windsurfing. Windsurfing is my passion and it’s difficult to stop me when I start talk about it. I have been working as a windsurfing instructor for 9 years now and I simply love it. This dream job with all age categories taught me so many skills. It is actually also very exhausting job but I just love the interactions between man and nature and how much nature can teach us, so I like to pass this on others and by this make their lives happier. Beside this, I love to spend time with my friends and family, I volunteer in children’s homes and in hospitals and I love to play guitar even though I know just a few chords :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What I love most about traveling is the opportunity to learn something new about different cultures and to experience beauty of different types of nature. And I think the best way how to do this is through locals. I don’t like hurried traveling from place to place just to see all the famous tourist attractions. Actually tourist attractions is something that I really don't enjoy. I like to truly experience the place where I am through real conversations with locals about real topics. I think that it’s awesome to see and hear all the different stories and points of view, it’s very eye-opening and I love it. In addition, I just love to help people and see their smiles. So when I first heard about couchsurfing, I totally fell in love with that idea!
