CURRENT MISSION
Don't dream it, be it
ABOUT ME
I'm a quintessential libra: indecisive, vain, perfectionist, into art/culture/debate & intellectual conversation(especially politics, sociology and philosophy)/romantic trists, and I despise noise, confusion, and rushed decisions. I'm planning to backpack around the world, and I wish we would take better care of it, and each other. I'm a dork, I love to dance, and take pictures. I've also been know to throw on a sarong and faerie wings and run around my nation's capital...
Top three countries I want to visit: Madagascar, Turkey, Indonesia
Some of the things on my to do list:
Go to Burning Man, climb Kilimanjaro, build an Earthship house, work on an archaelogical dig, go gorilla trekking
PHILOSOPHY
Why spend your life trying to get to heaven? We're already here, could heaven be this vast, complex, diverse? In the afterlife, what more could be added or taken away (except Republicans, oh I kid the repubs:)? We weren't kicked out of Eden, some just stopped seeing it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My couchsurfing experience so far has been happenstance, I met a German guy on the Mall in DC late one night, and we talked for awhile. He was biking from Boston to Miami. When he asked me if I was from DC, I said no I'm from Annapolis. He became very excited. Annapolis was the next stop on his trip. He asked if he could come over the next day, and I said of course. I showed him around town, and then he spent the night on my couch. When he left he gave me a sweater, someone had given to him. It was getting warm and he didn't need it anymore. Such a cool experience!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Performed bellydance on stage by myself, impromtu, at the Turkish festival in DC at the urging of the musician who was running the sound equipment. To this day I can't believe I did it... Also driving to Chaco Canyon during th day, seeing the ruins, and then driving out after dark was an experience
Teach, Learn, Share
1. Happiness only happens in small doses and bursts... don't aim for happiness, aim for contentedness. If you're content you're already ahead of the game.
2. Don't take ANYTHING for granted.
3. Dance, laugh, and make love on a regular basis.
