Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Tevita which is Tongan for David. I grew up in the Island Kingdom of Tonga in the South Pacific. I come from a large family, I can't even count the number of cousins I have. I have 3 sisters and 3 brothers and second youngest in the family. I currently live and study in the U.K. in North Wales (Bangor). I will be completing my study in September then I'll head back home to Tonga. I enjoy the simple things in life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling and at the same, meeting up with new people. I feel that couchsurfing is a great way to meet up with locals that knows their country. It also reminds me of how we travel locally back home between the islands. You will either end up at a relative's couch/floor or at a friend of a friend's house since pretty much everyone knows everyone in our tiny islands :D

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reggae music and anything laid back! The type of music that reminds me of a piece of home! I also love R&B and some Pop/electronic/alternative music (Jon Bellion and Marian Hill are my favourite artists right now). I love classic musicals and any movie that involves singing and dancing! The only time I was serious about reading a few books was when I read the Harry Potter series. Now I read the most boring and random books ever, ranging from books on finance to Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Choreographed a flash mob dance! oh and Camping at a youth gathering (JMJ 2013) with about 3 million people in Copacabana beach, Rio, Brazil!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some Tongan words as well as (attempt) to teach a traditional song from home. I love learning about the history of places I'm visiting and the typical everyday life of its people. Languages also fascinate me as I admire the diversity of languages around the world. I think I can also share some local dishes/food from home, provided that I can find the ingredients to make one.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share how life back home (Tonga) is, a bit more about my culture. I think I can sing a song or two from home (I try my best to sing :D)!
