About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn and live life to the fullest. Towards this pursuit I perennially explore diverse lifestyle designs. I am an unapologetic generalist, with deep experience in mixed-movement arts (including martial arts, juggling, poi-spinning, free-style dancing, Parkour, dynamic stretching, and my personalized flow-state sessions with breath work and integrated movement) and social science experiments (including travel to 50-plus countries and States on 5 continents). I also have participated in progressive festivals, and community-building workshops, such as a hybrid adobe construction class, and permaculture design courses.

ABOUT ME

My character/disposition is wide ranging, spreading all across the personality spectrum. This makes for great conversation, I can assure you. Give me 5 minutes of your undivided attention, and I promise I will make it worth your while. I value learning more than teaching, and I strive to be sincerely sensitive with all people I share relationship with.

PHILOSOPHY

All of life is synergetically intertwined. The best way of living is being aware of this inter-connectedness, and acting as if one's actions affect the sum-total whole. While I seek to respect and uphold the autonomy of each individual through my actions, I equally strive to stay aligned with the greater collective community. I am always attempting to dynamically balance myself between order and chaos, knowing that a sound foundation is important for launching one's creativity, but that too rigid a structure stifles creative innovation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A 'Partnership Society' is what I value and advocate. I am strongly opposed to the present-day monetary system, or any socially stratifying system to date. By participating in social organizations like this one I am attempting to promote the sort of partnership society I most value. Hopefully in time, a fully integrated resource-based, gift economy will emerge. I intend to be an active ambassador towards this resolve.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Staying with new friends in novel places is something I am quite fond of from past experiences in Europe, Central and South America. I had a particular joyous experience with my partner in Italy and Greece, in 2015. In the early days of my CS experience I had the honor of hosting a few people, but I have not been able to host in my last two houses because my housemates would not give me consent. The more I participate in couchsurfing and other non-monetary gift economies, the more I realize this is the way forward towards a new globally interconnected community. I am honored to play an active part by sharing my gifts with this world-around, sharing economy.

Interests

I enjoy extreme body adventures, within diverse recreational fields. I am passionately involved with Mixed Martial Arts at the present time. Rock climbing, High-Interval Peak sprints, Plyometrics(preferably in nature), cycling, shadow-form fighting, trampoline jumps, power stilt workouts, juggling, cliff jumping, body surfing, and the list goes on, especially the more I travel.

Intellectual pursuits are equally valuable to me. Exploring deeply challenging, intellectually probing material is of great importance to me. David Bohm, Jiddhu Krishnamurti, Eckhart Tolle, David Talbot, Jacques Fresco, Peter Joseph, Friedrich Nietzsche, and Jordan Peterson are a few men who I am thoroughly acquainted with. My favorite intellect in the whole world is one, R. Buckminster Fuller, a kind of kindred spirit who taught me the design-science principles necessary for "omni-successful" sustainable living.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been blessed to hang out with dozens of diverse humans from 50-plus countries and US States, on 5 different continents.

It would be difficult to name only one amazing thing I've done, but spending two days exploring one of the seven wonders of the world, Angkor Wat, in Cambodia, probably tops my list. Witnessing the Tikal and Copan Mayan Ruins was awe-inspiring as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach. There is no such thing as authority. But there are a few areas of interest I enjoy sharing. Anything related to human body performance output, is open for discussion. From a very early age, I have experimented with various recreational modalities(soccer, baseball, basketball, football, tennis, free-climbing, distance running, ocean surfing, boxing, muay thai, kickboxing, juggling, martial arts, to name a few).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Travel experiences, cultural referencing, and social networking across various platforms. Biohacking the body for performance optimization, diverse nutrient dense food offerings, juggling entertainment, exceptional intellectual conversations, gardening skills, holistic health counsel, herbal therapy, psycho-social transpersonal psychological therapy, and some great stand-up comedy!

US Travel: I have visited all of the 48 contiguous States, and Hawaii (twice). Alaska is forthcoming to complete the US travel loop. I have also visited about 50 US National Parks (missing only the parks in Alaska and US islands)

Central America: I have been blessed to experience every Central American country, and plan to revisit several of them in my forties.
