ABOUT ME

My wife Jessie and I travel a great deal and want more of the personal travel and cultural experience than a hotel and resort can provide. I play hockey and curl in the winter months and golf and play baseball in the warmer months. We are retired teachers that like to have fun and meet new people. We have a grea couch experience waiting for someone to visit us in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Near a wee Mennonite village north of Kitchener and Waterloo

PHILOSOPHY

I can speak for us both in that we love to travel and learn from the locals. We like to enjoy each day whether its siteseeing or working at a location. People and their culture are very important to us. We want to give and share more than we receive.

Had 2 couchsurfers here for a week named Nick and Hayles. Just found out a month or so ago that they are engaged

Interests

We like to watch and participate in sports and festivals. Hiking and biking are great to do as well.
Going out to the pub or having a bbq is great.

-our 18 year old son's music excepy the heavy metal
- Jessie likes mystery novels and I like the adventure and nature books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- hiked through the rain forest in Monteverde,Costa Rica to Arenal - it took 3 days and a macheete had to be used to cut our way thro - slept in hammocks

Teach, Learn, Share

we can teach English and math,Cdn geography and history
- electricity and plumbing can be done by me
- gardening,especially tomatoes. is always fun
- want to learn everything
