My wife and I love meeting new people and sharing our space with others.

I like to experience places by immersing myself in them. Whether that involves hitch hiking through it, a bike tour, staying with local contacts, or walking through an area, I like slowing down and letting a place soak into my skin and listen to people's stories and lived experiences.

I spend most of my free time hiking, rock climbing, biking, or rafting. I have been a youth mentor for over 10 years, and I really love helping kids discover themselves. I am very passionate about taking care of the earth and the living things on our beautiful planet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, but also thoroughly enjoy my hometown and exploring without having to leave. Working to improve my own community, as well as the broader social/environmental issues in the world.
I've done a lot of adventure sports and was a river guide for 4 years in California. When i can, i like inviting my couchsurfers along on whatever i'm doing that weekend. If you stay with me during a summer weekend, you might just randomly end up on a river trip, biking, sailing or att some other random local event!

I've met so many cool people through CS, and the generous spirit here really builds on itself and makes hosting something I really look forward too. Surfing others couches gives you a connection and such a great sense of the area and all the cool people that live there...
