Overview
About Me
Final year medical student. I have done a variety of solo travel trips throughout Europe and Asia since mid-2017. Have done short medical exchanges to Montpellier, France and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
I think of everything (positive or negative) as a learning experience and am always willing to try new things (e.g. I will literally try any weird local food/drink you offer me, e.g. vegemite, durian, natto, fermented horse milk, duck blood curd, horse meat...)
I'm really curious about the world. I like exploring big bustling cities, I like tiny dry Aussie country towns, I love being in nature too.
Interests while traveling include history/politics/gender roles, nature and cultural identity and cultural immersion- I want to know what life is like for local people (e.g when I’ve stayed with foreign friends, I’m happy to just be at family gatherings even if I don’t speak the language)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet up with fellow travelers and with locals, and was recommended this by many trusted friends I have met while traveling- I think it's about time I give it a go too!

Teach, Learn, Share
I love studying foreign languages, and I love English literature: I am happy to help with English, including proof-reading written texts.
I also love sharing about my own culture (Australian and Malaysian-Chinese)
I have a wide range of hobbies that I'm happy to teach on, and am always interested in trying new things.
E.g. I love drawing, and I'm not a professional photographer but I love taking photos for people so that they can have mementos to look back on.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Easy-going, you don't have to worry about babysitting me- I’m happy to have quiet time on my own or to hang out. I try to be conscientious of practicalities and not inconvenience my hosts out of appreciation for you welcoming me into your home :)
I'm not the best cook but I can bake! Am also happy to help with simple chores and accompany you on errands :)
