Overview
About Me
I have always enjoyed travelling and have been doing so since a young age. I studied in Italy for a year when I was 15yo and from then on I have wanted to go everywhere and visit countries and friends from all over the world.
I am a teacher in Australia and have spent the last 4 years living and working in the Northern Territory, three of those years were in a remote community. I really enjoy teaching and loved my Job, but it was isolating and I am in need of some travel to liven me up again.
I am also thinking about doing some teaching in other countries and even international schools. This year will help me decide where I would like to do that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on CouchSurfing because I want to meet people that live in the place where I am travelling to. I can get a greater understanding of the culture of the country/city/neighbourhood when I have a local to listen to or ask. I experienced this first through Airbnb and really enjoyed my stay in India because of this. I have only recently signed up to Couchsurfing and I hope I enjoy it.
Here is a review from Airbnb as I haven't stayed with anyone through Couchsurfing yet.
"He is just lovely and easy going personality. Long walks and talks in promenade in the late night. Kept the room and kitchen tidy. Just the right kind of company at my challenging time of my life. Hope he comes back to Pondicherry and Auroville."
I am really looking forward to returning home so that I can host people. I have been hosted by some amazing hosts and feel the need to be as amazing to visitors to my own country.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I really love the Gorillaz, they are my favourite band and after them, I have many bands that I like. I rate 80's Australian rock and an avid listener to Reggae, Ska, Jazz, Dub, Funk and Latin beats. I am open to all genres of music and love receiving recommendations.
Movies: Depends on the situation, however, I can always watch a comedy. E.g. MacGruber, Monty Python.
Books: I have only been reading textbooks lately and can only recommend 'Scaffolding Language Scaffolding Learning' by Pauline Gibbons.
Other than that, I like reading different texts anything that interests me at the time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have lived and worked in a remote Australian community for the last 3 years. This might not sound amazing to you but I have had an amazing time and have learnt so much, from dance and the arts to hunting and bush tucker.
