ABOUT ME

Enjoy learning new things and meeting new people. My wife and I like trying all different types of food - especially house specialties. We want to experience the local culture when we travel and not just see the classic tourist traps.

Currently, I am working for a non-profit group that is trying to help organizations work together to help people more effectively in our city. I also run a mentoring group for kids at a local elementary. I like to volunteer and am working with several groups that help underprivileged kids. My wife is a middle school choir teacher who loves kids and music - so teaching choir is perfect for her!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have been able to host several people. We are hoping to be able to have the surfing experience when we visit Europe this summer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have hosted several surfers and it has been awesome. We have learned a lot, shared great meals and have been able to help.
I have had quite a few unofficial "couch surfing" experiences with friends or friends of friends. I love a good coach and prefer a comfy couch in a real house to a stuffy hotel anytime.

Interests

My Wife, Family, Church, Friends, People, Sports, Food. Spending time with my wife is my favorite activity, and we do lots of stuff together, so usually when I chat with you it will be "we" instead of just me. We enjoy biking, playing ultimate frisbee, walking, listening to live music, or going to the theater. And we love trying new things!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rafted down the Amazon and swam in waterfalls in South America.

My wife teaches music and can share music with voice, guitar or piano. We also love deep conversations of in philosophy, politics or theology, or on the lighter side about sports, music, or current events.
