Hi everyone! My name is Tilly, I'm 18 years old from England/France... That's probably slightly confusing, let me explain. So, I was born in England and lived there until the age of 5. Then my parents decided to move to the South-Ouest of France and that is where my parents, older brother, myself and our many pets have been living ever since. Having lived and gone to school in France I am now completely fluent in French.
I recently obtained my General Baccalauréat (French equivalent of A levels) in literature. I have decided to stop school for now and go traveling instead, it as always been a dream of mine since a very young age. I am currently a few months into my first trip, which consists of traveling through the United States, Caribbean islands, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.
My main interests revolve around the performing arts, music being at the top of that list. I play the piano, the guitar, sing and have just recently started to learn to play the ukulele, as it is a great (very small and light) traveling compagnon! Above all though, I love songwriting, even from a young age, I remember my best friend and I would just write random songs about completely random things and then lean out of the bedroom window and put on a very cringeworthy performance to a completely empty field. They were terrible songs, but at least we had fun!
Theater has also been a big part of my life. I started out at the age of 6 in a small, after school, theater group in my local village in France and have since never been able to give it up.
I'm not quite sure what else to share about myself. I think a may have already shared a little too much... I mean, I did just reveal a rather embarrassing childhood memory! But hey ho, we're all friends now right?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've only recently heard about Couchsurfing, so I'm a newbie! But from what I've heard about it, it seems like an awesome way to meet some really great people whilst on your travels - and isn't that what traveling is all about? Meeting loads of different people from all over the world, learning about where they come from embracing new cultures and just generally having a really great time with new people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing that I would love to be able to do in my life is travel the world, and I'm definitely going to try my very best to do so!
I am currently a few months into my first trip, which consists of traveling through the United States, Caribbean islands, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd be more than happy to try to teach you a bit of French if you're interested in the language. I could also show you a few things on the guitar, if you happen to have one, if not I could always give "Over the Rainbow" a shot on my ukulele! I could also share some of my songs with you guys if you'd like - don't worry they're ever so slightly better than the ones that that empty field had to endure!
But overall, I'm ready to share some really good times, that I'll hopefully be able to look back on, when I'm finished traveling, and smile... wow this just got really cheesy, I'm sorry, let's move on.
